This tooth is from the upper jaw of the T.rex, near the front of the mouth.  This is a medium-sized tooth from T.rex, whose teeth could grow up to 6 inches in length, not including the root.  It is not known how large the dinosaur that lost this tooth was, as even the largest T.rex found to date had many teeth under two inches.
