Oviraptor Egg Nest
78 MILLION YEARS BP
Late Cretaceous
Djadokhta Formation
Mongolia

The first specimens of Oviraptor were discovered surrounded by eggshell fragments, giving it its name "egg theif".  Recent discoveries have shown that the eggs found with Oviraptor specimens are actually nests that the parent was protecting.
