The most common dinosaur mummies are the hadrosaurs, or duck-bills. Skin impressions in the surrounding sediment show the varied shapes of the scales from one region of the body to another. This shows scientists the true shape and texture of the animal, however unfortunately color is not preserved.


This is a replica of the original fossil, cast in quality polyresin and hand painted.
